CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Does anyone have any info as to the James Monroe "missing edge lettering" dollar coin , I thought I read something on it but can't seem to find it. I recieved 2008 uncirculated dollar set, and found the james Monroe missing edge letter. Thanks

        These plain edge dollars could be due to the coins having bypassed the lettering device entirely. Or it could be that the spacing between the lettering die and roller was too great to leave an impression.

          This is the best shot I could get of the missing edge letter Monroe dollar, center is silver eagle, three coins to right are normal edge letter dollar rear left is sacacawea dollar forward left is Monroe dollar, There sealed in set and didn't to take it out

            You one lucky fellow!

            If I were you, I'd have that one graded and then sold and buy a replacement set before they go to sold out status.

            BTW, I ordered 10 more just for another peek!
