CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1937 Buffalo 3/4 leg

    I was going thur a bag of Buffalo nickels at a buddy's coin shop found this?I never hear of 1937 3/4 leg before has anyone else??


    No one right 100% of timesI maybe wrong and will I say, sorry I was wrong

      That was the 1st thing that came to mind.but bag had a lead seal that was dated 1967.Charles had traded a few thing at a show last week and 2 lead sealed 1000 count Buffalo nickel we in the deal. I not sure if Dermal tools were around as they are today?

          Dremel is a generically used term for a rotary file and rotary files have been around for a very long time.

              You could see the coin was tampered with some kind of tool and a bad job of it yoo.POST MINT DAMAGE
