CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Roosevelt Dime Missing Clad

    Does anyone have an image of a Roosevelt Dime missing clad ? (Brown in color like a brown Lincoln cent. My scanner broke so I took this pic. with my phone. Any info. would be much appreciated. Thank You

    Your photo is poor, but it just looks like a dime that's been stained brown from environmental exposure. If it's brown on both sides, that possibility rises to near certainty.

      Thanks Mike. But the reverse is not brown like the obverse. The reeded edge is all brown. The reverse is like a dull dark Gray. It also seem a little smaller than the other 1987-D I'm comparing it to. I need to somehow get the correct img. for you. does anyone out there have a dark brown dime img. they can share.?

        Try weighing it. A missing clad error should weigh around 1.8 grams. A normal dime weighs around 2.28 grams.
