    1952-d wheat mint error

Could this be a bunch of d over d's...It also has a lower split serif..It could be a new rpm which is not listed..Any clues..Thanks

Your pictures are quite dark; however, I do recognize this die from its unusual die break on the mint mark. Once called the "flaming D" (it still may have that name), it is not a RPM, but an unusual die break that appears to be a series of partial mint marks.

This coin, as an oddity, should have a slight premium to it. How much though is questionable; at times, prices obtained at auction sites for coins of this nature are unpredictable and also illogical.
