  • 1865 Indian head Cent..Die wear or Cud?

Interesting find from the coin club meeting tonight...an 1865 IHC, with issues long the rim, 1000 oclockish....smooth transition from rim, but coin worn...not sure if this is a cud, or, just a large die break.
    Thanks
    Cal

    It's a retained cud.

      cud

I'm curious if this is worth sending into Anacs for attribution then...if it ihas a value over, say 60 dollars, it may be worth it...? Costs at least 20 to slab.

It's not worth slabbing. It's worth only a few bucks over what a normal coin would fetch.

Not sure whether to be nervous, or, thankful...Fred Weinburg is Bidding on the coin on the Bay...is he seeing something I missed?

I see nothing noteworthy about this specimen. If Fred knows something I don't, then more power to him.
