CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

      Hi Mike,

the metal is raised at the top of the right wheat stalk and the M in UNUM is punched right on top of the raised area.

Heres a couple of more photos. Thanks

If it's raised, then it would be die damage of an unspecified nature. Die dents and die scrapes with this orientation and approximate position are known in Lincoln cents from 1917 to 1945. Some have implicated the feeder finger, but we really don't know.

Thanks for the comments about nice photos....but i cant seem to get the colors right.
The coin is actually your regular steel grey/blue color.
I think i have tried every setting on the camera and different lighting but never get the colors right.

I use a halogen light but I've heard that some use a fluorescent light.
