1946 Wheat Struck Through w/ Retained Wire

I found this 1946 wheat that has a wire embedded on the top of the "N" of "ONE" on the reverse.

How rare is something like this? I have several struck through cents but none with the struck item intact.

These kinds of retained strike-thrus are not common at all. Is it attracted to a magnet? I'm wondering if it's from a piece of steel wool.

      Hi Mike,

It doesn't appear to be attracted to a magnet but then it is embedded pretty good. It may be steel wool since it doesn't really look like a wire or bristle.
