1962-D Lincoln Cent W/Multiple Images.
My main concern was that it was a mint error, so thanks Mike for confirming that it is.

The coin was struck once through a multiply-struck, dislodged die cap or detached cap bottome. There were numerous shift-and-strike events before the strike that created your coin. The normally-oriented incuse design elements are characteristic of such errors.

Looks like your coin was stuck in the collar and struck multiple times from a shifting die cap. That's my guess.

Here is a 1962-D Lincoln Cent that I don't have any idea how it got the images it has. It has multiple images {both raised and incused}, and it all is on the obv.. The rev. is perfect. I would appreciate any opinions and comments on it.
thanks:LouieTags: None
