CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1924 D Standing Liberty Quarter

    I plan on sending this in to PCGS for grading and wanted to ask for opinions on the errors I've noted if they are worth having it graded as an error?
    The first shows die cracks on the left passing through th N in In God and another starting above G In God also on the right going through the Y in Liberty.
    The D mint mark appears to be doubled or re-struck as well as the R in Liberty.

    There would be no point in sending this in as an error. PCGS will not take note of errors this trivial.

      Some people are interested in die cracks, others are not. The old adage, "the bigger. the better" applies most frequently to this type of error. Since the die cracks shown in your pictures re not major, they will have little or no added premium.

      As for the doubling on the R; it appears to be machine doubling. The D mint mark does show a little extra thickness which could be caused by it being an older punch. There is no split serifs, nor independent parts of a secondary mint mark showing, so I do not think it is a RPM.

      From your pictures, the coin looks to be a high MS grade and that will be only factor involved in determining its worth.
