Washington Dollar Error

This is a case of "rim-restricted design duplication". It's generated by a single strike and most likely represents a form of machine doubling. It's most common in Washington dollars but crops up in later issues at least up to Madison. The same area is always affected. In severe cases the extra design elements can take up the inner half of the design rim. Which President appears on your coin?Mike Diamond. Error coin writer and researcher.
