Hi guys. I have a 1967 sms that has a possible error on the nickel "see attached". There is a line that run accross the hair. At first I thought it was just a scrach and it may be but it seem to uniform and it also starts and end at exactly the edge of the hair line. Anyways it probebly not an error but thought I would get your opions....

It looks to be a possible "struck through a foreign object".

Yeah if it's incuse, it looks a lot like a strike through of a piece of wire (from a brush? who knows) that fell out after striking. Neat find!

This is a fairly common error. The value is dependent on how large the object was that the coin was struck through and if the object that was struck through was retained in the coin itself.
In this case, the struck through object was minor and was not retained in the coin. However, it is still considered an error coin so it will command a small premium.
