CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

        do I like die scrapes

It's not so much that I like die scrapes but the enjoyment of finding out what they are. I was educated just recently about them and posting this coin which I held for awhile confirms to me that I do grasp just what they are. I like figuring out just what causes what and how they occur.

Still have a few that I haven't figured out yet and will be posting I'm sure.

Rarely a bad thing when you learn about a new type of error/variety and it matches something you've been sitting on and curious about for a while to confirm that the other one is what you think it is armed with the new information. I'd say you've got feeder finger scrapes firmly in the category of "identifiable and distinguishable", well done.

There's a lot out there to learn, and seems like there's more opportunities for learning every time another variety shows up. If you like researching the way coins are made and the way that process can go awry, unless mints start checking in detail every single coin that goes out their doors (completely impractical when you're talking about quantities to support a circulating coinage) or comes up with a computerized system to totally elminiate any deviations (again impractical, it'd wind up culling too high a percentage of production) there's always going to be something coming out of mints with something new about it to learn.
