  • Retained Struck Through - Canadian 64 Cent

Just wanted to show off my new Retained Struck Through on a 1964 Canadian cent that I pulled out of a bank bag that had been sealed from the mint since 64.

There's a small piece of copper embedded above the Queen's eyebrow.

Very nice pick; it is hard to find "struck through a foreign object" still in tact.

Do you go hunting specifically for strike-throughs, or just lucky? Either way, great coins, thanks for sharing them.

I buy hoards.... peoples buckets and jars of pennies to search through. Usually all the key dates are pulled out but things like this are overlooked.
