  • 1969 ROOSEVELT CLASHED

I was looking through some of my unopened mint sets and noticed something on the dime so pulled it out of the cello wrap and took these pictures. I think it is heavily clashed on the reverse and some small spots on the obverse. I am no expert and would appreciate opinions.

There are no clash marks. It looks like a combination of staining and post-strike damage.

I would have to agree with Diamond, but the bottom of the torch and stalks on the left side look questionable.

I dont see anything in lower torch, but the A/AMERICA looks like it has a gouge or PMD.

It appears to be staining and PSD... The "A" looks to be a die gouge... I see marks between the "A" and rim along with the piece kicked to the left!!!

As for the die clash part. We over in the MADdieclashes.com have tried to get every denomination and series within the denominations overlayed to show where and what the clash marks might be. The picture below, taking by Jason Cuvelier, is a typical example of our offering.

If you do not have the capabilities of doing an overlay, it is very hard at times to correlate which clash mark came from where. Even with an overlay present, there is at times the same problem of identifying which mark came from where.

We are always interested in entering strong and or unusual die clashes to this site. So, if you do have any, stop on by the site and contact any one of the four of us.
