  • 2000 cent damage ?

    Hi all

Reverse edges appeared to be folded over and smooth similar to a pie crust, obverse is nearly untouched. Do you think it is mint or post damage?

    Thanks for looking

A clear case of post-strike damage.

Thanks guys... I couldn't fathom what would cause this uniform impression, stretching and folding of the layer.

        thanks again

Did you buy this thing off Ebay ? There were a few sellers that sold the things they were making on Ebay and they got temporaly shut down , I saw one of them was trying to still slip one in ever now and then. Don't buy anything if it has a backwards and sunken in impression of another coin or or a impression of something else unless you know what you are doing. anyone can make those worthless things in a matter of seconds.

Hi Rascal, no I did not purchase this. I received it as change, not sure when. I've been saving pennies in a 5 gallon water jug for 10 years or so. I just recently started going through them, let me tell ya, you have to through pounds of coins to even find MD's. Just as I'm getting sick of searching I find something.

Every thing I post is from hours of searching with the exception of mint sets.
