    Belgium 5c with clipped planchet

Hello! I've enjoyed reading the forums, and this is my first post here. I see the forums appear devoted to US errors/varieties, but perhaps you would enjoy seeing an interesting error from Belgium?
I ran across this coin while looking for overdates (it is a 1920/10 as well). I first thought it was damage, until I saw "Blakesley effect" opposing the clip.

I'm mainly interested in pattern and process, so world coins are just as interesting to me as U.S. coins.

Your specimen is unique, if my interpretation is correct. The radius of the curved notch is much too small for a curved clip. But it's the perfect size for a wildly misplaced accessory center hole.

Thanks Mike for your expert assessment.
I have never seen an error like this before--I will look for more.

Wow this an interesting incomplete planchet. Thanks for sharing and agree with Mike's analysis.
