CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

  • Tails to tails roosevelt dime lincoln cent-Mule?

Recently found this tails to tails coin and feel if it could be authenticated as real or not, could be a one of a kind mule. Upon sending to PCGS, they only decribed it as questionable. Wondering if it would be possible to send to coneca to find out if it is unique? Recent article in Coin World stated heads to tails roosevelt and lincoln mule cents do exist, and possibly if this is real, there could be a heads to heads out there?

There is no such thing as a real mint error that has a copper cent combined to a clad dime. this would be totally impossible to happen at either of our US coin mints. also I don't believe PCGS would even call this thing questionable because they would instantly know it is a man made fake or what we call a novelty piece.these are seen on Ebay quite often and sold as novelty pieces. what you have here is simply half of a dime and half of a cent that has been glued or soldered together.
