1776-1976 Eisenhower silver planchet with copper showing
Opened a Silver Uncirculated 1776-1976 three coin set in a flat pack, and found the Dollar showing copper color around the top 1/4 of the edge of the coin. I thought, and the other two sets have only silver showing. I'm thinking this is a planchet error. Am I right or wrong. your assistance is requested.

Good Tips above, but you also need to remember that the 40% silver coins are still a clad coin- 80/20 Ag/Cu outer layers bonded to a 20/80 Ag/Cu core.
As will happen with many of the 40% Kennedy's, the core will oxidize differently than the silver clad layers, giving the edges a dark or copper colored ring.
