  • 2012 S - Reverse Proof - Error?

I received a 2012 S Reverse Proof coin that has many things going on that are not normal. Question is....Do these things make this coin a collectable error coin?

Reeded edge is wider on 1/3 of the width and the three that look shiny are broken/chipped.

This looks like a gouge out of Liberty's dress

This was explained as lint on NGC collectors Society...I'm not 100% convinced....it looks raised to me.

Large clump of metal....maybe the remnants of Liberty's dress gouge?

I'll give my opinions on what these pictures show.
Pic 1: The width of the reeds does strike me as strange, but not really collectible. The shiny ones have been 'dinged' or hit (not really a good thing)
Pic 2: A gouge, also not great for the grade
Pic 3: A die crack of some sort, virtually no added value (in this case)
Pic 4: Not really sure, perhaps a hit or a planchet imperfection

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything collectable besides the coin itself, but proof errors are very hard to come by. Keep looking!
