CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    This is a nice die clash and the information on MADdieclshes.com is correct.

    As to this being an error, die clash are consider to be such. The notion that an error can only happen to one coin is not correct. Example; many coins coins can be struck through a die cap and "struck through a die cap" is an error. Die gouges, cracks, chips, scratches are all die errors and are treated as such in error-ref.com as are die clashes.

    As for prices? Die clashes as a whole are under valued presently, except for some of the more exotic (Flying eagle cent with other denominational dies) and the Franklin half dollar clashes, which seem to be in a field of their own.
