CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hi ! I am a new member in this forum.
    This is my first time I am using this coin forum.
    Lately, I found Uncirculated 1983D penny with wide AM.
    Please,take a closer look and give me your comment. I need your comment.

    coin3 is an error coin which has wide AM. coin22 is a normal coin which has a close AM.
    On Proof1 file , which is the proof coin has wide AM just like

    Hi Alamadea321 and welcome to the CONECA forum. Now to answer your question. All 1983 Lincoln cents had the wide AM in AMERICA. That changed in 1993 when the business strike became the closed AM on the proof Lincolns still had the wide AM.
