Help with identification of error type.

The coin is a 1969-D Roosevelt Dime. I just need some help with the identification (name) of the type of error (if it is an error type) on this dime. The obverse and reverse of this coin has what appears to be 2 complete rims. I have seen a tons with short, partial double rims, but none with 2 complete rims on both sides. If it is a type of error, what is the proper name?

You're looking at finned rims. Abnormally elevated striking pressure caused coin metal to squeeze into the narrow gap between die neck and collar on both faces.

        Just Wondering

After looking at your 1969 Roosevelt ..... is it possible that it is a DDO also? Looking at "Trust" in In God We Trust it appears that the letters are doubled. Maybe it is my eyes, but it looks dooubled to me.

Thanks for pointing that out. I see what you are talking about in the pic, but looking at it with my loupe, I can't see it. I have a problem with the Class VI (extra thickness) doubling anyway. I haven't found a doubled die yet either. I have found that when I finally find an error/variety, my eyes get trained to it. It then kind of jumps out at me. I would like to hear some other opinions on this matter. Thanks again Merlin. I would have missed it anyway.
