CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1967P Roosevelt Dime- Incomplete Clip?

    Found this 67P roll searching dimes yesterday.

    Is this a legitimate Incomplete Clip?

    It's not an incomplete clip. When I first saw the obverse photo, I thought I might be dealing with a rolling fold (blanking burr). However, such an error should appear on only one face. The reverse face shows a disturbance in the same area. This is either pre-strike damage or post-strike damage. I suspect the latter. However, a close examination under a microscope would be necessary to make a determination.
