    2000 P Sacagawea Reverse Lettering ?

Soliciting any opinions on the type of doubling I am seeing on the reverse of a 2000 P Sacagawea. Doubling appears to the left and right of the U in UNITED but multiple striations appear to "fan" off from the right of the inner area of the E and D. The I is also broadened on both sides. Does mechanical doubling cause this type of condition on both sides of a letter...or is there another more accurate term for this and the striations? Many thanks in advance.....

Doubling on both sides of a letter would be consistent with die deterioration doubling.
