1998-D Matte Finish Quarter
I took this 1998-D Quarter to a local coin shop yesterday and asked if they thought it had a Matte finish. The coin shop confirmed the matte finish and said it was worth about a dollar.

My Two Cents Worth
Thought I would put my two cents worth in here. The "Orange Peel" surfaces that are shown in the photos are much too large to be a matte finish. The matte finish on US Coins is much finer and much more delicate. I would suggest looking at a 1994 or 1997 Special Mint Strike matte finish Jefferson nickels. I think they are an excellent example of what "matte finish" looks like.
