Yeah, for sure, crowded.
Was thinking how they will eliminate the possibilities for the many different edge varieties/errors that have evolved.
From the standpoint of an observer, I am disappointed they would simply give up on the process.CONECA Errorsope Editor

The crowded design elements may give rise to a whole new set of error/variety possibilities.

PS - I heard from a source? that the presidential dollars used a different type die blank! Has anyone else heard of this switch?Last edited by wavysteps; 12-31-2007, 10:21 AM.Member of: ANA, CCC, CONECA, Fly-in-club, FUN, NLG & T.E.V.E.C.

Yes, undoubtedly there will be some planchets that have been edge lettered that will also be struck with with the new design. I could get interested in that!
Other than the debate that has been on-going, I haven't heard or read anything about the die blanks, or being able to identify, or tell them apart from Sac dollar blanks/planchets.
I know for sure I have an authentic Sac Dollar Blank because I got it before the Pres dollars were ever conceived. One instance I can cite where having something in a dated slab proves such.CONECA Errorsope Editor
