The marks along the rim are referred to as galling. The effect is a bit different on your coin than on this token but same cause as noted in the slide below. I didn't think to mention cents on my attached document so I'll have to add it the next time I go in to modify the slide.
BTW, in the very late die state the real 1955 1c DDO-002 is a so-called "poor man's double die."
