CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1957 Proof 10c Struck Through String-Like ...

    Here is a 1957 Proof Roosevelt dime that was Struck Thru String or similar.
    It was submitted to me by Walter Flack of MI on 11/22/01 at the Error Table at the Michigan State Numismatic Society Convention. Minor strike thru errors such as on lint, attract little interest and can often reduce the value of a coin but ones like this are definitely collectible. Nice find!
