EXTREMELY RARE 1946 INVERTED S MINT MARK ERROR

I JUST pulled this coin from a Bank Roll I got Yesterday from my bank. DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. IF Im WRONG please tell me BUT I think this is a (VERY NICE FIND ) 1946 INVERTED S MINT MARK. Any know worth of a coin like this? The coin in in Good + Shape.

I am not an expert by any means and maybe one of the experts will chime in to confirm or deny my analysis. I remembered two write-ups on Lincoln Cent S mint marks.

Yours appears to be a variant of MMS-004 with some distortion cased by flattening of the S due to a hit sometime in its life and normal circulation wear. I don't know if MMS-004 is "rarer" than others or not. I could see how yours might resemble an inverted MMS-006 but the top serif on yours does not look like it matches the bottom serif on a normal MMS-006. I believe that what you have here is a normal MMS-004 that has seen its fair share of circulation. I hope this helps.

I dont see a match, close but no cigar. Seems I recall somebody writing about a mm from another denomination being written about in the mid 40's though..

I will do a little digging later this evening.

Your coin is not an inverted S.

Overlay analysis shows that the mint mark is in the wrong position. I found the original 1946-S inverted mint mark in a purchase made at Mt. Dora, Florida in 2007. My latest find on this die was at a coin show where I cherry picked a MS-64, so they are still out there.
