1956-D - This is simply a die scratch, correct?
I have about 15 or so of these, so its not a one time thing for this particular die.
When I first looked at it, I thought it was an additional part of the jacket, but under a higher magnification, it looks different than Lincoln's jacket below.
I am thinking its merely a die scratch or poor attempt at re-tooling / engraving.
