CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1919 P Winged Liberty Dime die clash?

    Hi,
    I have a 1919 P Winged Liberty dime that I need opinions on. I thought at first I might have a DDO, but upon examination it just appears to be heavily polished/ground (the die crack doesn't appear to be in the right orientation either). Looking at the date and forehead area, there appears to be some strong clashing(?). Would appreciate any input. Other than the die polish doubling, is there clashing, or am I just seeing things? Thanks for looking.

    There's damage to the coin - I suppose behind that damage could be a slight clash mark but I doubt it
