1947S Lincoln Penny looks like a Struck Through Grease Error?
I have been looking through some coins and years ago bought several OBW rolls of 1947S Pennies. Sometime later there was some "scare" about 1947S rolls being bought on eBay that were fake so I opened them to make sure they were good. they were very good. This is one of the coins I pulled out to keep. It is a terrific looking coin with stunning color. I originally marked the coin as a MS67. I got a loupe and looked at the reverse from 9 to 12. It looks to me like a "Struck Through Grease Error". I went to ANACS and looked at the pop report and I do not even see any struck through errors graded. Is it a worthwhile find? How does the error effect the grade of the coin? Any thoughts or comments?Last edited by rbroederer; 03-04-2021, 01:00 AM.Tags: None
