CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    2020 P U.S. Virgin Islands Quarter DDR (A Discovery maybe?)

    I was coin roll hunting quarters when I came across this specimen. At the time I remember seeing something similar on the NV. America the Beautiful quarter in variety vista. So I went back to double check. So here it is for better or worse. Check it out and as always, opinions welcome. Thank you. The first photo is of a normal reverse. The 8th photo points out the anomalies without magnification. No DDR,s of USVI listed in Variety Vista.

    I think I am seeing die chips and die wear. Usually modern doubling on designs such as this are isolated to one key centralized area.
