CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    So, A lot going on with this penny. Floating roof, No initials and some markings on front. Any help would be greatly appreciated

      I want to know if theres any real value here. Should I card it, sent it in for grading or throw it back in the bank bag.

        I just card and file them. They are collectables, just not a high enough premium to make them worth grading in my opinion.

          It's most likely over abrasion (and maybe some die wear thrown in) causing the fields to go down to the a point where they meet the design.

          I have seen someone call them a floating roof before. Not much value if any at all.
