1917 standing liberty
I have a 1917 standing liberty type one that stands out to me as different. What I thought was a talon directly under the eagle's chest on the reverse, under a microscope is actually just a random blob. There is also a blob on the top of one of the stars on the right hand side, and on the wing. I've included photos. Is this a die break or something? I've looked everywhere and can't find another like it.You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Yeah, I think they could be. Like little parts of the die got worn or chipped over time or something. My new question is though, why can't I find any information or images on this "variety"? I've been looking since I acquired the coin back in August, there’s nothing on it. I thought for something as noticeable as this, which can clearly be seen with the naked eye, someone somewhere would've had one reported in the hundred and four years since its production.

You could submit it as a variety or error coin but it will cost you more money. Again, I don't believe you have a significant variety or error here. But keep in mind, I'm not a expert. Maybe other will chime in here.
If you want to submit it, I would just submit it for straight grading... Just my opinion.
