I agree, this looks more like post mint damage rather than something the mint participated in.
Dryer coins if they get hot enough and bounce around enough can produce a high rim. I can imagine the reeded edge would be damaged pretty significantly as well.To me, this does not look like a dryer coin.
Acid coin could be a possibility, but it may not have been on long enough to create those classic ravines and low spots on the rim where fluid falls off. It looks very pitted, dull usual a good indication of environmental damage...
But, in the end whatever it is, it isn't too good. Again, to me It seems more PMD.Gary Kozera
