CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Then noticed the case was cracked open, So I started check the coins. Then I noticed behind Lincolns head looked to be a nine then I turned the sideways. Then it looks to be another coin strike.

You bought a proof set that had been opened? The coin sure doesn't look like a proof, at least one typical of still being in a protective case. I'm going to say there is no error here. You're seeing a stain not another coin strike.

I didn't look that close before I bought it, because 20220126_124208.jpg it is my birth year. I know up close it don't but holding it in your hand it's shiny just looks toned but shiny.

Thats why I looked at it under a microscope, when I noticed the case had been cracked open. It looks totally different up close. Thats why I'm here I'm just a pocket change collector. I have not seen anything like it.
