  • 199? Lincoln Memorial Cent struck through grease or PMD?

Found this 199? LMC hunting a box on cents. Not sure if it is struck through grease or goo or PMD. I am thinking PMD, just want some input. Thank you

Thank You, was not sure I normally just look for RPM's and known varieties and errors. First one found since I started searching boxes of cents over a year ago.

Congrats. I agree, I was looking at this earlier and I was a little concerned about the reverse, but the coin is a classic strike through and a pretty dramatic one at that. I cant tell the date, but I know there were a LOT of these in 1960 from Denver.

With a weight of 2.51g it is a post 1982. FYI I think I can make out part of the second 9.

Understood. Plus the portrait of Lincoln is in the zinc style.

I opened up a 1960-D bag I bought from California. In the mix was about 100 strike throughs. I picked out about 30 of them that I could tell were close to the same caliber and made a small video of it. I slabbed 20 or 30 of them and I have them as a "set". Strike throughs like yours that are dramatic are a neat conversational piece.

I was wondering the weight too cuz it looks like 1961. Does look zinc though, so maybe 1990?

Under the scope I can almost make out what looks like a second nine but not 100%
