CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • OK, OK, Klocc, an almost Lincoln Cent error

OK, OK, I know Klocc likes them Lincoln cents and I almost have another one.
This is probably the 3rd of the best in the 5 coins I acquired this week:

    Its not a proof tho.
It is of a year in which I haven't seen many wrong planchet errors though.
I see a lot of double strikes and off-centers, but not many OMS's.

Hunh I just noticed that the dies might be rotated in the wrong direction.
I didn't buy it for that, I bought it for the shiny appearance.

Love it. Looks like my old one. Inherited some coins long ago when I had no clue. Had one of these. I think the same year too.
Also had a 1942/1 Mercury and put it on ebay. When it got up to $6k I pulled it in shock and decided to dig deep into whats what. Couldnt believe someone would buy a dime for that much. Thats what got me into varieties

    Anywho. Nice error

        nge.

Hah! is this a one cent dime or a ten cent Lincoln cent?
it is not a double denomination. I don't own any of those, but that can change.
