1999-S ROOSEVELT DIME PROOF STRUCK-THROUGH

I am looking at a very nice 1999-S Roosevelt Proof Clad Dime. The coin has extremely frosted deep cameo devices. I turned it over and this is what I found. It appears to be struck-through a piece of string, wire or fiber. The struck through continues onto the flame. I found it curious that the frosted cameo texture came through on the anomaly in the field. Thoughts or comments?

Yes its a strike through. I wouldn’t say the frost came through, it just blocked off the mirror finish. No telling what it was but your guess seems about right. Could be any of those things, but I would lean more toward some type of fiber with that finish it left behind
