    1965 Quarter Clipped Planchet?

I found this 1965 Quarter in a roll, and wasn't sure what to make of it. I doesn't quite look like other clipped planchets I've seen. It doesn't quite look like damage either. It has circulated a bit. Best I can tell is this maybe a straight clipped planchet. What do you think, is it a clipped planchet?

Not a clipped planchet IMHO. There is no Blakesly effect (weakness toward the rim) on the side opposite of the missing metal. Also, there is no distortion of the details nearest the missing metal. Finally, the edge appears to be scraped away (maybe a file or sandpaper). I would say this is a post mint damaged coin.

Thanks! That makes much more sense with what I can see. As you said no Blakesly affect and no metal distortion had me questioning it. I could tell it wasn't dented, but it did look weird.
