2001 Vermont Die Clash?
Hi! first post here and I would like another opinion on this 2001-P Vermont quarter. There are markings on this coin that I think are indicative of a die clash. The most obvious is the one I'm highlighting in the below images where you can see an inverted "BUS" and the "0" from the reverse. Thoughts?

Typically clashes don't damage devices (numbers, letters, buildings, people, animals, etc).
Clashes are created when there is no planchet between the dies, and the dies hit each other.
Your coin may have been a strike though involving another already struck coin, or other condition. We would need to see clear, close up photos, a little larger, to assist.
For clashes, they typically are seen on the field (flat part of the coin).
How do clashes look?
It would look like some one took a pencil and traced around th outside of the devices.
Some of the reverse image is on the obverse, and some of the obverse is on the reverse .
Details are usually not filled in unless it was an exceptional strong cash of the dies..
I will see if I can locate a good example an post it here.Gary Kozera

Have a look at this clash:

What should be taken into account are the FONT sizes for the lettering, there are other factors as well.
