1972 LMC Possible struck thru?
Screenshot_20220805-200156_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20220805-200221_Gallery.jpg On the obverse of the coin, you will see something that is in the shape of a figure 8 on Lincolns shoulder. What could this be? Screenshot_20220805-200156_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20220805-200221_Gallery.jpgTags: None

It is difficult to tell for me when I am on this tablet.
With the photos provided, I cannot get the clarity to tell, if it is a strike through, lamination issue, die chip or simply a stain.
If you look immediately to the right of that pick up point (pup), I believe there is another area like it, although not as obvious.
OK
If the area in question is:
sunk into the coin, it may be a struck through.
appears that part of the copper was torn away, it may be a lamination issue.
Looks like a piece of metal, slightly higher that normal, almost like a drop of solder, it may be a die chip.
If the area just looks normal, it very well may be post mint damage, possibly a stain happening after it left the mint.

Unsure if it is mechanical/machine/strike doubling or damage? I suggest reading this post below !
