CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1928 Buffalo Nickel

    Hope everyone on the East cost that went through Ian like myself did is ok. I have this 1928 Buffalo Nickel that has some interesting things going on. I’m not sure if it a lamination error a die break a speared. Any information and opinion would be greatly appreciated

    Looks like a lamination to me

      Lamination in my opinion. If it looks like a layer can be easily peeled off, like aluminum foil, per se, its lamination. Die dracks are usually thicker and more jagged looking.

      East coast as well, in Virginia. Lots of rain, wind just below 50mph gusts. Plenty of time to sit, relax and take photos of coins.
