  • 1906 Indian Head

Good evening to all. Could someone shed some light on this. Is that an RPD or DDO?

For the 1906 year, Indian head cents were either RPDs or DDRs. The problem with this is there were many "19" RPDs for 1906.

Rick Snow suggests in his Indian and Flying Eagle E-book that the way to figure out which " Snow" variety is to pay close attention to where the date was positioned on the coin.

It seems like a more minor one, but still a RPD. FYI there were 60+ varieties in 1906. Not all are "19" RPDs but there are many....

It looks like it could be 1906 Snow #1.

Your welcome. Many are here to help, and if it looks like an error or variety. I congrats people for having the eagle eye and being able to find a variety or true error.

Nothing beats the Snow ebooks when it comes to doing self
attribution. The books...yes two ebooks are an incredible resource for me. The Indian head series is loaded with RPDs and handfuls of DDRs. It is one of the better attribution investments I have made.
