CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    1954 S

So I’m not sure what I’m seeing here obviously an RPM. But what about this other stuff like the shifting and separation in the L and the I guess cuds on the wheat stalks? Is that doubling. I can’t find anything in regular days to it. I promise I try to research before asking lol

Well first of all yes it is a RPM if you search Variety Vista you can match it up. Not going to tell you which one but the die chips on the wheat stalk are a marker for the die stage of the RPM you have there. And there is no doubling in your pictures. It would also help if you posted full obverse and reverse of your cent.

Looks like a RPM to me as well. Congrats.
I'll let PNW finish this post...looks like he wants you to figure out what stage it is...

Yeah the reverse is wheat stalks with either die chips or a die break.
You can get a general idea using markers or pickup points to figure out what stage the die is at.
For example, the stages start with A normally go through F or so..

The stage F die striking coins would be older than A.

The L in Liberty is usually one of the letters more abused that others. I even see it on BU cents. It could be anything. It's probably machine doubling. The L was designed so close to the rim.Even a little metal flow towards the rim can damage that L.
