CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1992 P Die Clash

All signs are on or with in the Memorial. Some of Lincoln's silhouette is visible as well as the upside down and backwards Y and T of Liberty.

Reverse has clashed remnants. I am not seeing any clash on the obverse. Either the obverse die was repaired (abraded) or they replaced the obverse die.

Cool find. I like clashed coins.

Thank you Sumdunce. It was a very cool find and my first one. And the fact that it is contained within the pillars of the M/M just made it that much cooler. Exactly my thoughts. There is no clash evidence on the Obverse side and all is contained within the Reverse fields of the M/M. The Obverse die was clearly swapped with a fresh one or abraded, while the Reverse was not. Whether or not it was overlooked or just the fact that the reverse die had very minimal clash damage and they just continued to run with it.
