1946 S Nickel coin

Hi gus .I found this nickel coin is this mintmark coin and 35% silver and also.

No normal nickel not silver. Made up of .750 copper and .250 nickel. The only years that nickels were silver were 1942-1945.They did not start producing the war nickel until October 8th 1942. So some 1942 will be regular nickels. The easiest way to tell a war nickel is the mint mark will be large and above Monticello instead of small and on the right side of Monticello. Hope that helps.
