2002-P LA State Quarter Help

Their is a raised area to the left of the musical notes on the reverse. I'm not sure what error or variety this is. Please help.

Hard to tell for sure without having the coin in hand but it may be the result of the die being damaged (die dent) causing metal to flow into the damaged area as a raised area on your coin.

I agree with Zimmy It does not look like a clash or a die break.
If it is raised on the coin its either a die gouge or die related damage.

Thanks Zimmy, I considered that. What has me scratching my head is the angle of it. Do you think it possible for it being a partial dropped musical note?
Do you know how to overlay a picture over a picture in the paint program?

Dropped letters numbers, etc. would be incused on your coin, not raised up.

Wouldn't it be raised on the second strike?
