CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1964 P penny

    Not sure what's going on here. It has a frosted satin like appearance similar the frosted surfaces of modern proof coins. Etched die like. The outer rim does not have any of this frosting on it. Coin weight is 3.1 grams

    there are bronze "errors" out there for lincoln cents, and they kinda have this color but not these surfaces. this kinda looks like an acid date buffalo and it is pretty easy to put the stuff on the obv/rev one at a time w/o touching the top of the rim and edge. imo, this is a pmd coin.

    disclosure is that those images aren't the best but not too bad and from images it is possible to miss things. hopefully others will chime in as well.
